NSO Checklist Spotlight:
Register for New Student Orientation (NSO)
Register for NSO by logging into WaveNet using your Pepperdine network ID and password. In your Student Center, click on the link to "Register for NSO."
Sign up for Housing
The Housing Portal is open for BSN 4-Year students to submit their housing applications for the Fall 2025 semester. More information can be found on the Housing & Residence Life Website.
Immunization Requirements
Complete your Health History and Tuberculosis Risk Assessment Form, enter up-to-date immunization dates, and upload immunization records in your patient portal.

Must Do For Orientation and Move In

Registration is now open and is a 2-part process:
Register for NSO
Log into WaveNet at https://wavenet.pepperdine.edu using your Pepperdine network ID and password. In your Student Center, click on the
link for "Register for NSO."
Register yourself (attendance is required for new students) and any guests who are planning to attend orientation. If you are a first-year student, select your first-year seminar class preference.
Payment Portion for Guests
NSP Guest payment is now open. Guests may register and pay during check in. They do not have to pay anything if
they are just helping the student move in on the first day, and not staying for the
3 day parent portion.

Students must complete the Health History and Tuberculosis Risk Assessment Form, enter up-to-date immunization dates, and upload immunization records in their patient portal by the deadline date. All incoming students need to be compliant with the university immunization requirements.

Submit a selfie for your Pepperdine ID card, which you will need for dorm and meal point access. In order for your picture to be approved, it must follow all of the required guidelines.

Pepperdine requires that all students* have a U.S. based health insurance plan. To meet this requirement, students must select one of two options: 1) Enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or 2) Waive SHIP on the AHP Insurance Dashboard.

While not required, we strongly recommend students purchase renter's insurance as the University is not liable for property belonging to residents that may be lost, stolen, or damaged in any manner that may occur on the premises.

Refunds resulting from excess financial aid will be processed during the first week of the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. To ensure faster and more secure refund processing, you must set up your eRefund account with your banking information on WaveNet. This will allow any eligible refunds to be processed electronically.

Either 2-installment or 3-installment payment plans are available to select two weeks
before the start of each semester, through the end of the Add/Drop period. Payment
plans can be requested for the Fall and/or Spring semester, must be requested by the
student through their WaveNet, and the payment plan does not roll over from term to
term.

The purpose of this policy is to outline the standards of professionalism expected from students in all College of Health Science programs.
College of Health Science Code of Academic Integrity Policy
The Code of Academic Integrity provides among students, faculty members, and the administration a spirit of community where total development of all individuals can occur. Furthermore, it creates a climate of mutual trust, respect, and interpersonal concern, where openness and integrity prevail.
College of Health Science Technology Requirements
College of Health Science students are required to have a personal laptop for use that meets the minimum specifications.
Educational Requirements for New Students
The Center for Faith and Learning provides a reading and journal assignment to all incoming first year students to help you focus on the question of vocation. The assignment does not apply to students with 30+ transfer units taken at another college.

Other Action Items
Please remember to officially report AP or IB scores to Pepperdine in order to receive credit. These scores are used for placement beyond Calculus and for Languages. Also, don't forget to officially report any transcripts for previous or summer college classes that may affect placement as well.

Incoming students are enrolled in the Chapel program. You will be enrolled in Core Chapels which meet four times during the semester. Along with Core Chapels, you will select a Welcome Chapel, a three-week program, and a RISE Together Chapel, a six-week program. You will receive emails about selecting your Welcome Chapel and RISE Together Chapel from the Chapel team.

If you are approved to live on campus, register before your arrival. Permits are now both virtual & physical so there will be a tag to put on your car once you register.
If you drive an unregistered vehicle on campus or have no visible sticker, you will be open to parking citations but not prohibited from campus.

Complete the OIE Incoming Student Survey. This survey is designed to be brief (about 7-10 minutes) and your responses help us improve the educational experience for current and future Pepperdine students. You can access and complete the survey anytime until the Sunday before the first day of Fall classes.

Placement Exams
Students who studied Spanish in high school, have no college credits in the language,
and plan to continue their studies in that language within the next year are required
to take the exam.
