The Pepperdine University College of Health Sciences Simulation Center (CHSSC) at
the Calabasas Campus serves as a shared experiential learning hub for Nursing, Physician
Assistant, and Speech-Language Pathology students. Our interdisciplinary approach
combines evidence-based simulation, interprofessional collaboration, and compassionate
care — preparing graduates to lead in diverse healthcare settings.

Facilities & Labs
- Health Assessment Lab: 8 fully equipped exam stations for foundational assessment skills.
- Nursing Skills Lab: Simulated acute care environment with eight hospital beds and low-fidelity manikins for skill mastery in IV therapy, catheterization, and wound care.
- High-Fidelity Simulation Rooms: Realistic hospital scenarios (e.g., code blue, sepsis, obstetrics) using advanced high-fidelity manikins.
- Operating Room & Scrub Room: Advanced surgical training and sterile technique instruction.
- Debriefing Rooms: Reflective learning spaces for guided debriefing and tutoring.
- High-Fidelity Emergency & Acute Care Suites: Complex case management and interprofessional collaboration with different healthcare provider students.
- Patient Encounter Rooms/OSCE Rooms: Objective Structured Clinical Examinations for diagnostic reasoning and standardized patient communication.
- Green Room: Standardized patient prep and transformation space for live scenarios.
Policy library: confidentiality, safety, video recording, and maintenance standards (per SSH accreditation).
