Financial Aid Checklist for Applicants

Applying to the School of Nursing and uncertain about the financial requirements? We are here to support you. This step-by-step checklist is designed to help you understand each part of the process.

FA Checklist for Applicants: 

Before you are admitted...

Understand the Cost of Your Education

•  Review your program’s tuition and fees.
• Explore indirect costs (housing, books, transportation, etc) by viewing our Cost of Attendance. 

Research and Apply for Scholarships

• Review CHS and external scholarship opportunities 
• Explore scholarship and grant opportunities available through your community, employer, or other organizations. 

Complete Your FAFSA and Financial Aid Requirements

• Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA  

                ○ Required if you will be enrolled in Spring 2026-Summer 2026.

                ○ Submit at studentaid.gov using Pepperdine’s School Code: 001264. 

• Submit all Required Documents

                ○ The CHS Financial Aid Office may request additional documentation.  

                ○ To avoid delays, complete all requirements at least a month before classes begin. 

After you are admitted...

Receive Your Financial Aid Offer  

•  Once all financial aid requirements are submitted and you have been admitted, your Financial Aid Offer will be finalized.

Monitor Your To-Do List Items in WaveNet

• Review the To-Do List items in your Applicant Center regularly and submit required documents promptly. 

Submit Your Official Degree-Bearing Transcript 

• Federal regulations require an official degree-bearing transcript to be received by the Admissions Office before any financial aid can be disbursed.  

Financial Aid Disbursement

• Financial aid will automatically apply to your tuition charges before the start of the term.
• All To-Do List requirements must be completed for funds to be disbursed. 
• If your aid exceeds tuition, the remaining funds will be refunded directly to you. 
• Review tuition due dates in the Academic Calendar. 

CHS Student Accounts and Payment Options

If you plan to pay using any of the following:  

                ○ Personal funds (out-of-pocket)

                ○ Payment plan

                ○ 529 plan

                ○ Veterans benefits

                ○ Employer or company reimbursement
