Biography

Dr. Amy Vinson is a seasoned academic and clinician with over two decades of experience in the field of speech-language pathology. She earned a bachelor of science in communication disorders from Auburn University, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of South Alabama. Her areas of expertise are centered around medical speech-language pathology, with a particular focus on adult dysphagia, voice and resonance disorders, motor speech disorders, and acquired disorders of language and cognition.

Throughout her career, Dr. Vinson has been committed to both education and research. She spent 14 years as a professor at Auburn University Montgomery before transitioning to Faulkner University, where she served as clinic director for 4 years and program director for 3 years. Dr. Vinson has presented her research at numerous state, national, and international conventions, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in her field.

Outside of academia, Dr. Vinson is a proud mother of four children, ranging in age from 9 to 19, and enjoys the company of five dogs and a multitude of chickens. With a passion for both her family and her work, she continues to make a significant impact in the field of speech-language pathology.
