Biography

Sydney Parker is a dedicated nursing professional with over a decade of experience in women's and children's health and over six years of nursing education experience. She most recently served as clinical nurse coordinator in the mother baby unit at Los Robles Medical Center. 

Her academic career includes faculty appointments at Lewis-Clark State College and Mount Saint Mary’s University. She has also served as a hospital-based specialty educator in women’s and children’s services and has developed and led professional development programs across multiple clinical settings.

Parker holds an MSN in leadership and education from Northwest Nazarene University and a BSN from Seattle Pacific University, graduating with honors. She is nationally certified in maternal newborn nursing (RNC-MNN) and is an instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). 

A published author and former editor of RN Idaho,  Parker has contributed to the professional nursing dialogue through articles and conference presentations focused on postpartum depression, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and clinical excellence in maternal-newborn care. 

Parker's professional philosophy centers on delivering exceptional, equitable and caring student and patient-centered care. She is passionate about empowering future nurses through mentorship and transformative education with compassion, clinical expertise and a deep commitment to evidence-based practice and advocacy.
