Biography

Dr. Kellie Rine is an Assistant Professor and practicing Speech-Language Pathologist with over two decades of experience in education and speech-language therapy. She completed her Ph.D. in Special Education with an emphasis in literacy from the University of Northern Colorado in 2024, building upon her master's degrees in Speech and Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University and Early Childhood Special Education from Harding University. Her diverse educational background includes specialized trainings in multisensory reading intervention, Reading Initiative for Student Excellent (R.I.S.E.), and other phonological trainings. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Rine has demonstrated a commitment to both clinical practice and academic excellence. She has served in various educational roles, from early childhood special education teacher to university professor, teaching courses in education and speech-language pathology at multiple institutions including Pulaski Technical College and Faulkner University. Her clinical experience spans multiple settings, including school districts, private practice, outpatient therapy, and university clinics. Her research interests focus on speech sound disorders, literacy, and early childhood education, as evidenced by her recent publication in the Early Childhood Education Journal, her presentation at the Arkansas Early Childhood conference, and student poster presentations at the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association conferences. Dr. Rine continues to contribute to both the academic and clinical aspects of speech-language pathology while maintaining an active role in supervising graduate student research and professional development.
