Biography

Dr. Danielle Rich is an accomplished speech-language pathologist with nearly thirty years of experience. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in speech-language pathology from the University of Montevallo in Alabama and her PhD in early childhood education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Throughout her career, Rich has worked with a diverse range of patients, ranging from four-week-old infants to seniors aged 104. Her extensive clinical experience encompasses various settings, including early intervention in homes and daycares, head start and even start programs, rehabilitation centers, acute care facilities, home health services, nursing homes, adult group homes, and other medical and skilled environments in New Orleans, Louisiana and Jefferson County, Alabama. Rich is a committed educator who has been privileged to teach undergraduate and graduate students majoring in speech-language pathology at the University of Montevallo and Faulkner Christian University. She has been involved in academia for nearly 20 years. 

Rich specializes in pediatric dysphagia, language, and speech sound disorders, and works with neurodiverse patients, including those on the autism spectrum. She is dedicated to educating families, caregivers, students, and professionals about these disorders and effective, natural intervention strategies. Her expertise has been acknowledged through presentations at regional, state, and national conferences, where she has shared her insights on early intervention, treatment strategies, language and speech sound disorders and various treatment strategies and transdisciplinary teaming—a subject on which she has also published research.

In addition to her professional achievements, Rich is an active member of Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama. She values spending time with family and friends and enjoys traveling with her husband and their two beloved Jack Russell Terriers, Phoebe and Dexter.
